The Value of Change

So two days ago an email popped up in my inbox from Unique Property Company. Out of mindless curiosity I scrolled through and there it was. A flat in the same building we used to live in for £1.2 million. A one bedroom flat in Whitechapel (Stepney) for £1.2 million. No garden, slightly dodgy area and the added benefit of a local shop selling things way too close to the sell by date.  £1.2 million. Well Fark Me. It’s been in and out of my mind most of yesterday, mainly because I couldn’t stop thinking about how rich we could be happy we are. I started to do a mental list of Advantages and Disadvantages of moving out of London. Remembered my positive thinking and ditched the disadvantages. Today is a beautiful day, so here are my top 5 reasons I am glad I am not living in a million pound flat in London, but enjoying the beautiful North.

One – providing the catalyst to start my own business. Full stop.

Two – having my own studio – my indigo den is small but perfectly formed and I am looking forward to opening it as an appointment only showroom.

Three – New friends. Friendlier people. Not everything is about a day rate.

Four – Nature. I had forgotton how beautiful it is and how lucky we are to have it on our doorstep.

Five – Picnics in the truck. I love it now it is working.
