Made by Human Hands
Each of our dresses is made by one of our highly skilled smockworkers. These are talented and experienced makers who take great care and pride in making each dress from start to finish. No production line here.

Made to Order
Every dress is made to order by one smockworker from start to finish. This ensures our customers receive a truly personal method of make and each dress is made with true care and attention to detail.

Made in England
For us, making in England is the responsible way. It makes use of our immense talent, creates opportunity and builds a desirable future in manufacture and make. Currently our smockworkers are based in the North West and Yorkshire.

Details Matter
We believe our dresses should look as good on the outside as on the inside. See Honeycomb Inside out Dressing on Craft & Industry. Internally our construction is of the highest quality including bound seams and contrast print fabrics on key areas. Externally our topstitch thread colours combine traditional denim topstitch colours with softer tones and adds external detail to suit the personality of the dress.

Traditional smocking techniques, with a modern application are at the heart of our brand. Our honeycombe and wave smocking are marked out by hand and machine sewn in panels requiring a high level of skill and accuracy. We are experimenting with hand smocking, which is a more labour intense process.

Japanese & UK Denim
The denims chosen for our dresses are from Japan and the UK. Our Japanese denims are from one of the most highly revered denim and textile mills in Japan, with their knowledge and expertise spanning over 100 years. Our UK woven denim is from the London Cloth Company, a micro mill established in 2011.
Each fabric has been carefully selected for its weight, handfeel and colour, ensuring wearability and assurance of the highest quality.
